We will spend a few days around Aruba before setting sail for the San Blas Islands. Well actually the official name of this area is Guna Yala and the area has been called this since 2011 but most people still know it as the San Blas Islands. If there are people with no sailing experience joining us on this leg, we will do some basic training before departing for the San Blas. The sail should take between 4 and 5 days to get there. Then we will work our way towards the Panama Canal over the remaining time of the leg. The San Blas Islands are famous for low lying, sandy islands topped with palm trees surrounded by turquoise waters. The local tribes are mostly self ruling and have their own set of rules that visitors have to abide by.
